Gorilla Treks
It is believed that there are just over 600 mountain gorillas remaining in the wild - with over half of them in Uganda. The thrill and excitement of gorilla trekking is not quickly forgotten!
In 1993, Uganda launched a programme to protect these rare primates and visits are strictly controlled in order to save these mighty animals from extinction.
A limited number of permits are issued for each day, and advance planning is strongly recommended.
