0700 hrs: You will be picked up from the Hotel Leaving Nairobi,
you travel west through the Kenya's fertile highlands, where tea and coffee abound,
and suddenly, to your left, the trees part to reveal a spectacular view of the
Great Rift Valley, with dormant volcano Longonot at centre stage. Brief stop-over
at the viewpoint, where you can enjoy the scenery below.
Proceed down the valley: your panoramic journey will take
you past Lake Naivasha, with its Crescent Island, to Lake Nakuru National Park,
colored by a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining
its shores. Game drive en-route to Lion Hill Lodge affording unforgettable views
of the lake from its hillside perch (170Km, 2.5Hrs).
Lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. After Lunch its time
to go hunting, but you can only shoot with your camera. It is time for afternoon
game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its bird life as thousands
of flamingos make this lake their home, among hundreds of other species.
Wildlife is also in abundance here. You will see large numbers of waterbuck, warthogs,
impalas, buffalos, plains game, cheetahs, and rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park
is now one of Kenya's rhino sanctuaries.
After viewing the game you will then drive back to Nairobi arriving at 1800 Hours
to check in to the hotel.
